ספר זה נכתב לזכרם של 43 חיילים בודדים בסדיר ובמילואים שנפלו מאז ה 7.10 הספר הוא ערובה לכך שזכרם לא ישכח, ונכתב על ידי מתנדבת אח גדול עדה פורר, שהחייל שלה נפל בעזה.

Staff Sgt. Valentin Elie Ghnassia z”l

Made aliyah from France and made an effort to become a paratrooper despite his age. He was due to finish his service in October 2023. Lost his life in battle after his heroic battle in Be’eri. In his name, we hold a seminar to prep lone soldiers for their release from the army every 3 months.

Staff Sgt. Jonathan Dean Chaim Jr z”l

Born to a Christian family in NY, he made aliyah and converted to Judaism. Served in combat engineering and was killed in southern Gaza. In his memory, we hold a Bar/Bat Mitzvah once a year for the lone soldiers at the Western Wall in Jerusalem.

Staff Sgt. Benjamin Loeb z”l

Made aliyah from France and became a paratrooper. He was killed in Kfar Aza whilst attempting to help evacuate the wounded under fire.

Major (res.) Yakov Nadlin z”l

Served as a lone soldier from Kazakhstan and one of the very first Ach Gadol volunteers. He was killed in battle in Qalqilya on the 8th day of the war. In his name and honor, we hold a yearly seminar for Russian-speaking Olim in Sela Nitzana.

Staff Sgt. Shlomo Reshetnikov z”l

Shlomo made aliyah from Russia with the NAALE program and was drafted to Golani. Lost his life fighting to protect Israel.

Staff Sgt. Hallel Shmuel Saadon z”l

Originally from the Ultra-Orthodox society, he served in the Nachal brigade and fell in battle in Sufa.

Staff Sgt. Teshgar Taka z”l

Combatant in the Golani brigade. Killed two terrorists before he fell, only three weeks before his release date.

Staff Sgt. Evyatar Ohayon z”l

Previously, from the Ultra-Orthodox society, he served in Golani and as an ambulance driver. Died in battle with terrorists.

Staff Sgt. David Ratner z”l

David fought fiercely with his comrades in the Golani unit. Even after being hit by a bullet in battle, David kept fighting for another 8 hours.

Sgt. David Mittelman z”l

Originally Ultra-Orthodox and a combat soldier in Golani. He radiates joy onto everyone. Killed in battle by terrorists.

Sgt. 1st class (res.) Omer Balva z”l

Was called for duty whilst visiting family in Maryland. He was killed during a mission on the northern border.

Staff Sgt. Avraham Nerya Cohen z”l

He was one of the organizers of the Nova festival and was murdered by terrorists while trying to escape with his friends.

Ben Menashe Mizrahi z”l

Made aliyah from Canada at the age of 18, and enlisted as a lone soldier to become a combat medic in the 101st Battalion. He was murdered at the Nova party on October 7.

Staff Sgt. Noam Elimelech Rojtenbarg z”l

Programmer in the training command, he was killed at the party in Re’im whilst trying to save two girls.

MSgt. (res.) Kalkidan Mahari z”l

Always dreamt of making it to Israel, and I made aliyah from Ethiopia at 18. He was killed in Gaza.

MSgt. (res.) Eliahou Benjamin Elmakayes z”l

Made aliyah from France and served in combat engineering. Was meant to get married in November 2023.

Staff Sgt. Boris Dunavetski z”l

Made aliyah from Russia through the NAALE program and served as a lone soldier in the armored corps. Died in battle on the northern border.

Staff Sgt. Aviad Revlin z”l

Previously Ultra-Orthodox, he drafted to the technological program in the AIF. Was murdered at the party in Re’im.

Sgt. Israel Eliyahu Suissa z”l

Originally from Canada, he served in the paratroopers. Died after 150 straight days of battle in Gaza.

Sgt. Emil Samoylov z”l

Originally from Russia, Emil served in the Gaza Division and received an award of excellence for his work. He was murdered by terrorists in battle.

Sgt. Maj. Amir Fisher z”l

Having grown up in Ghana, Amir made aliyah and was drafted to a commando combat unit. He was killed in the October 7 battles.

Sgt. Nathanel Young z”l

Grew up in London and made aliyah in order to draft to Golani. Was always the first to volunteer for anything. Died in the battles in the Gaza Strip settlements.

Daniel Cohen z”l

She served as a lone soldier and was murdered at the Nova Festival in Re’im.

MSgt. (res.) Nachman Natan Hertz z”l

Made aliyah from France and was killed in combat on the northern front in the reserve battalion 6551.

David Yair Shalom Newman z”l

Served as a lone soldier and was murdered at the Nova Festival in Re’im.

Sergeant Ilan Cohen z”l

Made Aliyah from Argentina in order to serve in the IDF. After completing his studies at a Yeshiva he drafted to the Paratroopers and fell in battle in Gaza.

Sergeant Daniel Hemo z”l

A fighter in the Paratrooper Brigade’s Combat Squadron. After donating life-saving bone marrow at the beginning of the war, Daniel returned to his platoon in Gaza in order to continue to fight. Daniel was a lone soldier and was killed in battle.

Sergeant Ariel Sosnov, z”l

A fighter in the 605th Engineering Battalion. Fell in the north from a rocket strike.

Staff Sgt. Rose Lubin z”l

She made Aliyah from the US for combat service in the Border Guard and was assigned to serve in the Old City of Jerusalem. She was murdered in an attack by a terrorist on November 6th while protecting us all.

Staff Sgt. Simon Shlomov z”l

Made aliyah from Kazakhstan and served as a paratrooper. Died in a battle with terrorists in southern Gaza.

Captain (res.) Rebecca Henriette Johana Baruch z”l

Originally from the Netherlands, she was a combat officer in combat intelligence. Her organs were donated and saved many lives.

Sgt. 1st class Meiron Moshe Gersch z”l

A volunteer in his local fire department until he drafted to a special forces unit in combat engineering. Died in battle on the northern border.

Captain (res.) Denis Krokhmalov Veksler z”l

Originally from Ukraine, he was a combat engineering officer in the special forces. Died in battle in Gaza.

‏Sergeant first class (res.) Jordan Covin Cooper z”l

After making Aliyah in 2018, Jordan was drafted into the Nahal infantry brigade and returned to the US after completing his military service. He returned to fight in the reserves and served for 200 days in the war in Gaza. Jordan tragically passed away from an allergic reaction. He was 26.

Sergeant first class (res.) Danil Pechenyuk z”l

Originally from Uzbekistan, he made Aliyah in 2018. On October 7, 2023, he was called up for reserve duty and served in the Jerusalem Brigade. He fell in battle in the Gaza Strip. He was 26 years old at the time of his death.

Sergeant First Class Daniel Gersho, z”l

A fighter in the Netzach Yehuda Battalion. Killed in a motorcycle accident.

Sergeant first class Nazar Itkin z”l

Made aliyah from the Ukraine. Served in the special commando unit, Egoz. He fell in battle in southern Lebanon on the eve of Rosh Hashana.

First sergeant Yakov Hillel z”l

Grew up in a Hardei family in Jerusalem and served in the Golani Brigade Reconnaissance Unit. Fell in battle in Lebanon on Sukkot eve.

Sergeant major (res.) Shmuel Harari z”l

Made Aliyah from New York and served as a lone soldier. He was a commander in the 222 Battalion in the “Carmeli” Brigade and was killed in combat in southern Lebanon.

Sergeant Maj. (res.) Santiago Ovadia z”l

A combat lone soldier of the Nachal Brigade special forces. Even after an injury, he recovered and returned to his service in combat. Fought in Gaza for several months before his death.

Sergeant Major (res.) Vladislav Sergienko z”l

Made Aliyah through the Sela program, was a part of the Ach Gadol family during his service and after as a volunteer. Served as a paratrooper and volunteered to continue his reserves. Died during active reserves duty.

Captain Omer Maxim Neutra z”l

A lone soldier who made Aliyah from New York in order to draft. He served as a tank platoon commander in the 77th Battalion of the 7th Brigade. He was taken hostage on October 7th and died whilst still held in Gaza.

Sergeant major (res.) Ronny Ganizate z”l

A lone soldier who made Aliyah from New York in order to draft. He served as a tank platoon commander in the 77th Battalion of the 7th Brigade. He was taken hostage on October 7th and died whilst still held in Gaza.

Private First Class Dan Shimshon Mandel Philipson z”l

Dan came to Israel from Norway to serve in the IDF and to defend the State of Israel.
He enlisted in the Paratroopers, and during training tragically lost his life.

Staff Sergeant Ari Goldberg z”l

Made aliyah from the United States and enlisted in the IDF Combat Engineering Corps. After serving during the Swords of Iron war, he was found lifeless in his apartment in Dimona just one day before his scheduled discharge from the IDF.

Joshua (Josh) Boone z”l

a lone soldier who made aliyah from the United States, served as a reserve sniper in the Carmeli Brigade.
He served more than 700 consecutive days since October 7, 2023.
In January 2026, after suffering from post-traumatic stress, he took his own life.

Before 7/10

Sergeant Maxim Molchanov z”l

A lone soldier originally from the Ukraine who served in the IDF Fire Brigade. Even before he drafted, Maxim had met his Ach Gadol, Igor, and was supported by him. Always with a huge smile on his face and setting out to work hard, he was determined to eventually become an officer. He received awards of excellence and appreciated and loved by his commanders. Despite this, he always stayed humble and with an open heart. Murdered in a terror ramming on August 31st, 2023. May his memory be  blessing.

The Fallen of Operation Protective Edge

Staff Sergeant Jordan Bensimon z”l

Fell in July 19th, 2014 in one of the toughest battles that the IDF fought in Gaza. After his death, a message that he had sent to his friends was found in which he talks about the importance of protecting his country and his willingness to sacrifice himself and his life: “I don’t mind losing my life, so long as it is to protect my family, my friends, and my people”. In his honor we have weekly activities for lone soldiers at the lone soldier house in Tel Aviv.

Fell in July 19th, 2014 in one of the toughest battles that the IDF fought in Gaza. Fallen of the 2006 Lebanon War

Staff Sergeant Michael Levin z”l

Levin, who immigrated from the United States, became a symbol of lone soldiers after his death. His story greatly increased appreciation and awareness of the service of lone soldiers in the IDF.

Captain (Res.) Ron Efrimi z”l

After a meaningful year in the Tavor leadership program, Ron enlisted to the Yahalom Special Forces unit in combat engineering and later went on to become a commander and an officer. He was killed in an explosion in ceneral Gaza.

Master Sergeant (Res.) Yair Katz z”l

fell in battle in Gaza on January 16, 2024.
In his memory, we established a housing project for two lone soldier veterans in the family’s apartment in Holon.
